What Do You Want From Website Builder Tools? Part 1

If you are new to the internet, or new to website building, you may be overwhelmed by the array of website builder tools out there. When I started looking I know I was. So how do you know what website builder tools to get? What's good and what's bad? There is a way you can narrow the field down a bit.

The first thing you need to do is ask yourself a few questions:

What is the purpose of your site? Is it personal, or is it business. If it is business you are likely to be wanting to drive specific traffic to it. I'll cover in the second part of this article the best way to do that.

What are other sites like mine doing? Shop and compare, so you can see what other people who are selling the same product or service are doing.

How much time have I got to devote to a website? Considering you are taking the mantle on yourself, this is a good question to ask. If you are a business owner, the chances are that the answer is not much. If that is the case, you are looking for software that can help you attain the audience you want and give you a comparable site without much time investment on your part.

Are you likely to be making a lot of changes to your website? If you are, you will be looking for website builder software that will allow you to do this, quickly and easily.

There are website builder tools out there that will give you the results you want. But first you have to have a clear idea of what you are looking for. Add as many questions to this list as you deem necessary and soon you'll have a website that is the envy of your competitors in a fraction of the time.
